The problem: The UH community includes individuals with a wide variety of complementary skill sets, but those people are often in “silos” (departments and other organizational units) with limited ability to connect to others to form cross-disciplinary teams for projects.
The solution: The Alloy application will provide a kind of social network for the UH community which enables users to specify their skills, interests, and projects, and find other complementary UH community members with whom to work. See the Alloy proposal for more details.
