E02: Introduce yourself

Task

For this experience, join the ICS 314 Slack Team. Click on the link “create an account” at the bottom of the page to get started using your hawaii.edu account:

Please choose a username that makes it easy for others to identify you in slack. If your name is “John Doe”, then a good username is “johndoe”. Please fill out your profile (at the least, your first and last name) at https://ics314f16.slack.com/account/profile.

Once in the ics314f16 team, post a short introductory paragraph about yourself into the #general channel. This provides info to your fellow students, and also verifies that you have joined Slack and can post to it.

It is your responsibility to receive information about this class promptly. I highly recommend that you install a native client for Slack on your phone and your laptop and set it to display notifications.

Submission instructions

By the time and date indicated on the Schedule page, your introductory paragraph must appear in Slack.
