The Hawaii Annual Code Challenge is a nationally recognized program for engaging technologists and others to create innovative solutions to problems within our community and state government.
You can earn up to 300 extra credit points for participating in the HACC this year. That can make up for 3 DNFs on the in-class WODs!
Here’s how it works:
Register for the event using this link Note that registration is free but limited and HACC has “sold out” every year so far. So, sign up immediately to ensure your spot.
Once you’re registered, attend the kickoff event. At the end of the day, come find Philip Johnson and tell him you’re here. You’ll get 100 extra credit points for attending the kickoff, even if you don’t join a team.
To earn an additional 200 XC points, join a team and produce a project that is demo’d at the Judging and Awards Day. If you work on a project but it doesn’t get to demo status, you may be eligible for partial extra credit. Note: you have to do some work as a team member to be eligible for the extra credit. See Philip Johnson during the Awards Day so he can mark down your attendence and award your extra credit.
To obtain extra credit for the kickoff day, you must find Philip Johnson at the event to let him know you’re there.
