For this experience, join the ICS 314f19 Slack Team. Click on the link “create an account” at the bottom of the page to get started using your hawaii.edu account.
Choose a username with the format firstname_lastname. For example, if your name is “Philip Johnson”, then your username should be “philip_johnson” (all lower case). This will help your classmates learn your name as quickly as possible, and also make it easy for them to contact you.
Please fill out your profile at https://ics314f19.slack.com/account/profile. Please upload a headshot. Again, this is so that everyone can learn each other’s name as fast as possible.
Once in the ics314f19 team, post a short introductory paragraph about yourself into the #introductions channel. This provides info to your fellow students, and also verifies that you have joined Slack and can post to it.
It is your responsibility to receive information about this class promptly. I highly recommend that you install a native client for Slack on your phone and your laptop and set it to display notifications.
