This semester, you will be using IntelliJ IDEA as your interactive development environment.
I’ve used many IDEs over the years, and I think IntelliJ IDEA is the best one out there at the moment for C, C++, Java, and Javascript.
You can use IntelliJ IDEA for free as a student. Go to https://www.jetbrains.com/student/ to apply. You will want to download and install IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate.
Once you’ve installed it, go through some of the tutorials at https://www.jetbrains.com/idea/documentation/. I will provide specific learning experiences during the semester. For now, just play around.
