Section Attendance

The maximum seating capacity in Hamilton 3G is 32. We always let in the maximum possible students to each section of ICS 314. This means that you can only attend the section you are enrolled in.

For example, if you sleep through the 9:00am section, you cannot attend the 10:30am section to make up for it. (Or vice-versa).

There are several reasons for this restriction:

• Most sections are totally full, and all seats are generally occupied.
• Our goal is to create a learning community within each section. That is best accomplished when the membership in each section is stable.
• If we allow folks from 9:00am to attend the 10:30am class, then there is a reasonable chance of 50 students trying to learn at 10:30. That destroys the learning environment at 10:30am.

We always monitor the attendance in each class. If you attend the wrong section, you will be asked to leave and your grade will suffer.
