Experience the GitHub Student Developer Pack

Once you have signed up for GitHub, go to GitHub for Education Student Signup Page and fill out the form to get the GitHub Student Developer Pack.

Possible issues in signing up:

• In the “What is the name of your school?” textbox University of Hawaii at Manoa is NOT listed. You will have type this in then help serach for it in the next page. If this process fails, try selecting University of Hawai'I-West Oahu as your school.
• If your ID image doesn’t work for enrollment verification, you may have to obtain a verification of enrollment from the registrar. See https://manoa.hawaii.edu/registrar/student-records/verification-of-enrollment-degree/ for details on this.

This will upgrade your GitHub account will give GitHub Pro which will provide additional storage and capabilities (such as publishing GitHub pages from a private repo) and give you access to Copilot, Codespaces and a host of other goodies. You will need some of the increased capabilities during the semester, so be sure to sign up for this benefit immediately.

When you get approved for your student pack, you may want to activate GitHub Copilot by visiting https://github.com/features/copilot/.

Submission instructions

Due by the time and date indicated on the Schedule page. You don’t have to send an email or anything, but if you forget to do this, you will have trouble later in the semester.
