Fall 2020: HACC-Hui
We are building a Meteor application, HACC-Hui, integrated with Slack. The goal is to use HACC-Hui in the 2020, 2021, and 2022 Hawaii Annual Code Challenges (HACC). We expect over 200 developers to participate in the HACC. They will use HACC-Hui to help form teams.

Spring 2021: GHG-Tracker
GHG Tracker is a web application designed to track the carbon footprint that residents of Hawai’i produce and reduce. Our focus is on Greenhouse Gas Emissions (GHG) and how it is everyone’s responsibility. This web app focuses on tackling GHG from Transportation. Climate change has the potential to increase the severity and frequency of hurricanes, flooding, and droughts, and is expected to lead to increasing sea level rise. GHG is the most significant factor in climate change.
This app allows users to update their daily mode of transportation and track the effect of each time they use a mode of transportation. The user will have a custom profile by adding their cars, alternative modes of transportation (bike, walk, bus, etc.), personal goals, and a history of their data. By using real data from all models and makes of cars, as the user continues to use the app, it will update and calculate the total amount of carbon produced, reduced, fuel saved and total miles traveled.

Two students got internships to continue the GHG Tracker project over the Summer of 2021.
Fall 2021: Project HOME
The goal of this project is to create and provide an application that keeps track of supply inventory for the Hawaii Homeless and Medical Outreach Project H.O.M.E, who helps provide medical care to residents around the island by means of a mobile clinic.

Spring 2022: Volunteer Ally
VolunteerAlly is a non-profit organization designed to help pair volunteers with organizations in need of service. Thus, the ICS 414 class designed a web application that aims to ease the user’s experience when it comes to finding, applying, and volunteering for an organization.

Fall 2022: Hawaii Department of Education Legislature Tracker
The Hawaii Department of Education (DOE) closely tracks the progress of measures in the state legislature. They need to write testimony and get it approved by three levels of administration. Often they have less than 48 hours to write, approve and submit their testimony to the legislature.

Spring 2023: POST 3rd Floor Room Inventory
Todd and Charley needed an application to track the use of offices, storage rooms, classrooms, and labs on the third floor of POST. They also wanted to know which data and voice ports were in each room and where they were located.

Fall 2023: Rebuild HACC-Hui
The goal of this project is to rebuild HACC-Hui using the latest version of Meteor and React. We will also add new features to HACC-Hui. We switched form Semanit UI to Boostrap 5.
