E12: Polish up your mockup

During the past several weeks, you have been designing three pages (Landing, Home, and Degree Planner) for RadGrad. Next week, you will have students looking at these pages and giving you feedback. To make this feedback most useful, you should take some time this week to “polish” your mockup. This might mean:

• Making sure the data in your system is realistic.
• Providing “enough” data about courses, opportunities, etc.
• Make sure that all the links work. At a minimum, when the user clicks a link, pop up a modal dialog window that says what that link would do in an operational version of the system.

Now that your internal pages are ready for review, you may want to redesign your Landing page to provide an “onboarding” experience for users. You can design sections of the Landing page to show the various features of the system, and put a login button at the bottom of the page.

Please have your “polished” system ready by the submission date, which is when your usability testing period will begin.
